Hi friend,
Here’s 1 idea, 1 practice, and 1 question to create more expansive connections this week.
One idea to consider
A gratitude ritual is a habit of expressing gratitude in specific occasions.
It’s the most reliable way to consistently express more gratitude to the people in your life, which leads to:
Stronger Relationships: Sharing gratitude builds empathy, clears misconceptions, and encourages trust in relationships.
Positive Perspectives: Concentrating on gratitude shifts the focus from what's lacking or problematic to what's positive and working well.
Deeper Self-Awareness: Identifying what makes you feel grateful helps cultivate a deeper understanding of what matters to you.
One practice to try on
Choose one of these occasions to start expressing gratitude as a habit:
During Meals: Create a habit with someone you often share meals with in which you both express 1 thing you’re grateful for that day.
At Work: At the end of a group meeting or project, take a moment to thank each team member for their specific contributions.
After Gatherings: As reunions or social outings wrap up, find an opportunity to express appreciation for the time spent together.
One question to ask
“What past compromises do you refuse to make now?”
