Hi friend,
Here’s 1 idea, 1 practice, and 1 question to create more expansive connections this week.
One idea to consider
Authentic sharing is a method of relating in which your goal is to share in way that reflects reality as closely as possible.
Here are the 3 pillars of authentic sharing:
Truthfulness: Accuracy and honesty in representing facts.
Completeness: Including and not omitting any and all relevant facts.
Awareness: Depth of understanding or extent of knowledge.
One practice to try on
How close to reality is what you’ve shared? The answer can be expressed as:
min(truthfulness, completeness, awareness)
This means that the lowest of these 3 values determines the overall closeness of what you’ve shared to reality.
The next time you want to share as authentically as possible, ask yourself: which one of these pillars is currently the limiting factor?
Then, focus on expanding that specific dimension.
One question to ask
“What's a memorable or important lesson you've learned from a mistake you've made?”
